Camp Sunshine

My sister-in-law, Lauren, told me about this camp for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Here is a blurb from their website:

"Nestled alongside the shores of beautiful Sebago Lake, Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child’s illness. The year-round program is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour onsite medical and psychosocial support. Bereavement groups are also offered for families who have lost a child to an illness."

That is just awesome! Obviously, the cost of running such a place is not free, but you can text the word CAMP to 20222 to donate $10 to Camp Sunshine. What is $10 in the grand scheme of it all? Two caramel macchiatos at Starbucks? I think it's worth skipping those two drinks for this great cause.

If you are not in the position to donate, just take a moment and pray for all the families who are attending the camp every year. Pray for healing and peace for these precious children and their families.
