Book Review: Who Is My Shelter?

I was so excited to get this book!! Who Is My Shelter? is the fourth book in a four-book series written by Neta Jackson. It is actually a spin-off of the 7-book Yada Yada Prayer Group series and she uses a lot of the same characters. I really don't want to give anything away in this book since it is technically the end of an 11-book series, but I will tell you that I loved all of these books! They are so well-written and the characters are really easy to relate with.

The awesome company, BookSneeze, provided me with a copy of Who Is My Shelter? By Neta Jackson in exchange for my honest review.

Very authentic and so delicious. Sign up for their E-club and get $10 off your next visit!! Don't get me started on their creme brulee...that alone will keep you coming back time after time. :) Can you tell I am hungry?? It's only 8:43 AM and lasagna sounds good. :)

Book Review: Love & Respect

Love and Respect: The love she most desires and the respect he desperately needs – by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. It's the age-old answer to marital conflict. Men need respect and women need to feel loved. Easier said than done at times, but it truly is what men and women crave.
Dr. Eggerichs gives valuable tools on how to get intentional in your communication with your spouse. How do you show respect for your husband? How do you truly show your wife that you love her? Read the book to see how!! He bases this on the verse Ephesians 5:33 "...Each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband." It's a Biblical truth and it truly works.

The author himself declared this book as meant for people in a marital crisis, spouses headed for divorce, husbands and wives in a second marriage, people wanting to stay happily married, spouses married to unbelievers, divorcees trying to heal, lonely wives, browbeaten husbands, spouses in affairs, victims of affairs, engaged couples, pastors and counselors looking for materials that can save marriages. I think the "people wanting to stay happily married" part covers it for all of us no matter what our situation!

I received this book from Thomas Nelson as part of their blogger book reviewer program in exchange for my review.
